More on the Sweetwater deal

“We bought this business because it is a great craft beer business first,” he told THCnet. “We bought this business because it has a great brand name. We bought this business because it gets us into the U.S. market. And we bought this business because we got an excellent management team that can help us in the beverage business. There is still a lot more that will play out here. And when cannabis is legalized, we will be ready.”

Most likely they did this deal to achieve bonus benchmarks for the CEO & CFO. Unfortunately, for investors, they typically are awarded for simply doing the deal not on how the actual financial results track to the IRR project projections that were used to justify the transaction. Hope this is not the case here, but IS strikes me as the type of CEO who strives to maximize his bonus payout at ...more

Are you saying Irwin did Hain Celestial stockholders dirty by increasing their share price 2,000% between founding the company in 1993 and departing in June 2018? From the 2009 market lows to Hain's peak it was 1,000% increase Do you not trust people with beards or what is it? Because you're clearly not reading his track record of building a 3 billion dollar company

Just going by his performance to date with APH. Who knows maybe he got lucky with Hain. I would not mind if he gets lucky again. Although if he does the same thing for APH I will agree he has established a track record.

Aphria has no entry into the US cannabis Market. You need licenses to grow, process, transport and sell cannabis in the US. Aphria and its stinkwater aquisition have 0, thats ZERO, licenses in regards to the US cannabis industry. This is a fact. Ask the fanboys profcornhole and the irritatingcanuck what the US entry plan is. I have asked them and got nothing but crickets because there is no US ...more

Welcome back Stretch lol I addressed all your concerns as you brought them up, but I can see you are still thin skinned. You need to work on your elementary school name calling if that's your calling card on here Everything you are touting is misdirection. Canopy has licenses for Canada yes, but Canopy does not acquire Acreage's "licenses" (read: dispensaries) until weed is ...more

I only name call people that are trying to mislead others. If the shoe fits wear it. So let me get this straight.....you think that when the US is federally permissible that licenses will not be required anymore???? Are you for real. You need to research the Canadian cannabis sector a little better because last time I checked, licenses for everything's from growing to selling requires a ...more

The US and Canada are very different. The US rules are very lax when compared to Canada already in states that are recreational. If you don't think Walgreens will have a national license over the current Cheech and Chong run facilities I think you are mistaken. The people who criticised Apha for not buying other LPs while ACB and Canopy did were wrong. Linton started the acreage acquisition ...more
