Observations from vote....

Sometimes what's as compelling as who voted in favour or against a bill is who DIDN'T. While only 6 Dems abstained, 34 Republicans didn't vote. Perhaps this is because they are stuck between a rock and a hard place: their parties want them to vote the opposite of their constituents, so they choose not to vote at all. Just a guess. 
This should give us hope for a Senate vote. They too must vote for what the voters want (which is mostly pro-cannabis) or abstain....
Getting way more interesting...and hopeful.

I'm hopeful Dems get at least one Senate seat in Georgia for general purposes, but wouldn't be surprised if they lost both. But even if they lose both seats, I'm way more optimistic about a few Senators being sympathetic to the cause than media is reporting... There is logical case to continue prohibition while there are a thousand reasons to go ahead You make a great point about ...more

Dems will need to win both runoff seats to control the Senate or it's DOA. McConnell declared that marijuana will not be legalized on his watch.

No, not necessarily. They have to vote for their constituents or risk being voted out next time, and most Americans want cannabis legalized. Therefore, it's inevitable a couple repub senators will go with the bill, while others abstain to protect their position. So there is a decent chance the Senate will legalize.
