What Does This Really

mean for Aphria shareholders?  If you hold 10,000 Aphria shares does that equate to 8,831 in the new co?  Or is it an additional 8,831 shares being added to your 10,000 Aphria shares

It sounds like you would have less shares if I am reading correctly but I really dont know. I dont think it would be fair if we got less shares though. I am hoping someone with more investing knowledge will fill in the blanks.

The companies are combining - so on closing 100% of the assets of both companies will be owned by Tilray (call that Mergeco).  Think adding coffee to milk:  it a better and larger beverage - but its one beverage with two combined pools of assets. The valuation of the resulting mergco will be circa CAD$4b.  On closing, each APHA shareholder will hold approximately 80% of the shares ...more

The % of Tilray shares will replace your a APH shares! You will lose no value because Tilray has fewer shares and a higher share cost! This merger is a very solid deal! Getting rid of some waste on both sides and accelerating growth, hemp, etc! I love where this is taking us!

Agree with you this is a great deal, I'm not clear yet on how is this conversion of shares going to work with people like me that are holding TSX APHA shares in TFSA CND acounts ?
