April catalysts are now I play

Tilray Aphria merger will pass, revenue will be a massive beat with every indication I can see. Chuck Shumer introducing new legislation to decriminalize Marijuana not to mention the Safe act which was recently tabled and More act coming back in the spotlight. I also don't think the market fairly judged Tilray on the recent contract in New Zealand an exclusive contract. This is among many many global deals across EU, Middle East and North America between Aphria and Tilray. I still hear whispers of Asia coming into play from local people, can't include that just yet but I have full confidence that's the market along side Mexico Irwin will go after once we get these companies merged. People say Tesla will be 3000 a share with its future potential growth. Aphria Tilray future potential growth even more promising since we are just in our infancy. Happy Easter Aphria Longs

CaneIsAbel What about the huge deal that that a big brewery or tabacco company will invest in the merged company?   My guess is that investment will be bigger than the $5 billion investment that Constellation invested in Canopy. Those big investors are going to see that Aphria is a better company than Canopy based on the earnings results posted by both companies over the last year ...more

That's a huge catalyst and if you read the transcripts from Irwin Simons last reporting. He said himself the merged Tilray will be ripe for a much larger corporation to invest and partner to expand and meet global demand. This is definitely in the works and you will ride your 3000 shares up. When you invest in an expanding successful  company you grow as they do. I fully expect for you to ...more

With that being said I don't expect it to dip heading towards earnings anywhere near 20 dollars CAD a share but you never know if their are any uninformed investors left holding out stock that would foolishly in my opinion give up their shares and sell at this point. I don't expect it but I prepare for it in case

Thanks CaneIsAbel  Believe it or not I am sitting on about 40 percent cash and  money market (liquid investments) that I can deploy now in the blink of an eye which is more than the 25 percent you mentioned.  That 25 percent you gave is good however I have always been a super conservative investor over the last few years in particular.  I have also learned through years ...more

I agree and well stated post. I was one who had nerves of steel because you have to understand what you invest is no longer yours. You have to have the mindset you are loaning this money to the company In hopes they grow it for you. Some people can't stomach a 100 k loss or 200 k even if it's only on paper. Is any of that money life changing?  Invest what you think you can live ...more

Aphria will do fine there is plenty of room for both American and Canadian producers and the top 3 Canadian LP's are well established in Canada. The top 4 MSO's also have established themselves and will be well financed to compete with Canadian LPs. What intrigues me the most are the merger and aquisitions to come and this is where the winners and losers will be defined. Organic growth can ...more
