TRX

Remember the good old days. Unbelievable how this turned into such a dog.

I think you may be conflating the performance of the stock with the performance of the company.  As mentioned by other posters on this board, Mr. Adams has done everything he has set out to do with Aralez.  Now it's just a matter of waiting for the revenues to roll in.  The share price will respond accordingly.

I disagree, Nothing like a butt kicking, to make you think type of day where the stock price is down 28c and almost 6% for the day,& without any sort news... I am hoping this is just" the hedgies",gong forward into tax loss selling and thats it although, it could be "front running" on the earnings report Nov 7th..(JFI-  a report before the market opens and earlier then ...more

Technicals are highly relevant here. However, the domineering force causing this price action is acting in its own interests and as such, the technical analysis can be predicted afterward. Guys, I strongly suspect Deerfield is the one short here. It is a hedge against their loan (and, they make $ in the meantime). We do not know just how far the financing stipulations went between ARLZ and ...more

Deerfield being short doesn't bother me, nor do market fun and games in between quarterly statements. Either the earnings will be there in Q4 and into 2017, or they won't. Deerfield, or whoever, can short the stock all they want, but earnings milestones reset the game 4 times a year with new values.  I also seriously doubt there is any front running happening as I doubt even Aralez ...more

Firstly, it is quite relevant that there is a short % against the company. ARLZ is not a buy until they can demonstrate sales of Yosprala. Fundamentally, yes, it works to the advantage of the company that they are competent enough to secure deals, drug approval, etc. However, if you bought this company on approval of the drug, you missed the forest for the trees. Similarly, if you held this stock ...more

Golden I think you're looking at it through pessimists eyes.  For me I sold half when it doubled so I'm  letting it run until the good news hits.  So I have a different point view but you're ignoring a few things. - macro economics, the pharmaceutical industry was hurt by Clinton's tweet. - the failed attempt at domiciling in Ireland and the delay / expense ...more

I do not think any sensible person bearish on a stock could make an argument from this. This component you speak of is perhaps necessary for the growth of a business depending on what it entails. It will prove itself to be quite good for ARLZ if they manage to deliver on sales.  But, say Yosprala is a total flop.. well, yeah, now let's scrutinize the debt and all other variables. To be ...more

You can wait for Yosprala numbers to come in, and that's a valid strategy, but you risk missing on a gap-up based on those numbers or other business development etc etc. The bulk of a stock's increase for the year happens on 2 or 3 trading days. ARLZ could also announce tomorrow they've been purchased for $10/share for a cash deal thus ending the entire TRX/POZN/ARLZ story. Nobody ...more

I say, amen to that!, Kuato, cheers!

Well, as I suggested before, while nothing happens on the business development front (in terms of generating revenue on the biz front), you can have a short bias against the company. This does not discredit the business or the drug potential. It simply is taking advantage of a stagnant business. Because, I am sure we can agree, the show does not start until Yosprala shows us the $. ...more

I LOVE THIS BOARD!!!..WHERE WE CAN AGREE TO DISAGREE...!!! Either you believe in the story or you dont, Simple..Even George Soros loses money at times (betting on Brexit),, I just bought more Aralez today, this morning, got filled quickly, at my number..going to give it till 3rd or 4th quarter 2017.. I also like VG, off sector and topic, but figured- I would say it anyhow,,

Yes, "agree to disagree" - the perfect retort to an argument you cannot formulate a response to. A logical copout. As such, if my argument falls on deaf ears, then it is evident where the pendulum swings with respect to flexibility in the analysis of a company.

Golden- Not sure if your reply was directed to me, or the board in general. I still Agree to Disagree- I read your posts and yes, many things you said I agree with, but your point is? I really dont know what your point is? are you unhappy with the stock itself? Are you in our soon selling? Its your choice. I hate to break it to you gone are the days when, the SP price was based on EXPECTED or ...more

I don't disagree with much of what was said either, I'm just personally not adept enough to time the markets and have never had long term success with options - I almost always lose.  I picked up some more shares today because I think this will do well, and I have no quams about selling stakes and moving on to other investments if I see more potential there. Before I owned TRX I owned ...more

I would just like to re-iterate, that companies that pay off the most will invariably decline for months and months and months before you see any green because most investors don't "get it" until some bozo fund manager on BNN jams it into their face. And you can't time the blastoff, that's just the way it is. And not toot my own horn, but the majority of my investments ...more

Tottaly agree with Kuato here. .Nothing but good news reports after good news reports coming out about ARALEZ, & Lest we forget Tribute was a profitable little co, before the merge.. The new drug purchases bring on more debt, but also the possibilities of more/potential future earnings. Right now our biggest downside. I fully expect, if any good news comes for Aralez for the stock to have a ...more

All my best investments have been buy and hold.  I've tried doing the active trading thing but seems like I was either getting in on the tail-end of a momo play or I did not react to a falling stock price quick enough.  In the end, I just didn't find it worthwhile to actively trade.  And with a full-time job and two toddlers at home, I don't need the stock market to take ...more

Wow Golden - I didn't expect such a detailed response but my response is short.  There are different ways to make money in the stock market.  As an experienced investor you should know multiple styles but you don't have to practise every style or any style. For me market timing is not something I have the time and patience to do.  If the fundamentals are good I can stay ...more
