I swear that if a person sells this stock early in the A.M. and buys back in the P.M. they will do very good. The only thing that scares me is where is the bottom. If we can not do good in good times how are we going to do in the bad times. The market has had a good push the last 5 trading days and we are going backwards.  Maybe it is time to average down maybe not. I sure have a itchy finger ...more

ARN is beginning to move back into oversold territory again.   It can be frustrating to watch a stock get pushed down on such low volume, but this is what usually happens during the summer months with many stocks.  ARN also has less oustanding shares compared to its peers, so this makes it easier to move the stock around - up or down. I noticed this could end up being the 7th straight ...more

Well I finally gave in and averaged down more at $1.44 and hopefully I will not be disappointed. I have a feeling that we are going to break out after 2ndQ results are put out and these share prices will be gone forever. I hope I am right.

In advance of Q2 results and status report.  Even though we are not expecting any negative news, Arcan has thrown gutter balls before and a surprise of that nature will send the SP to new lows regardless of how oversold it is. Given the dismal, bordering pathetic, performance we've seen from Arcan, I am inclined to wait until after the news before deciding to average down.  IMO ...more

I am thinking of buying it but will wait untill they come out with results ,,,sellers are always right ,they know some thing that we don,t know ,,otherwise it would have been trading above 2 bucks with other oil stocks trading at their High to Mid range prices

Ah yes, the summer months, you got to love it!  This is why you keep some powder dry during these months.  "When the cat's away, the mice come out to play".  With most senior mangers on holidays during the summer months the junior managers take over.  August is also the month when most European countires send their employees on holidays and most industries shut ...more

Does anyone have any reason to believe that ARN will not meet its production?? Anyone talk to management lately to see how things are going?? Should a person buy more of these shares at theses low levels to average down?? I would like to buy more but maybe we will see $1.00 as some have suggested. I hear a lot of bad news is coming in the oil industry as the jobs of some oild workers in the Bakken ...more

The 11 analysts offering 12 month price targets for ARN have a medium target of 3.50, with a high estimate of 6.50 and a low estimate of 2.50. 2 Buys, 5 outperforms and 4 holds. https://markets.ft.com/Research/Markets/Tearsheets/Forecasts?s=ARN:CVE

Arcan will miss their Q2 numbers maybe sub 5000 .....as there is no waterflood being implemented in the Ethel pool where the bulk of their production is from you need at least 1 injector for every 2 hz wells in order to maintain pressure above bubble point....on almost 70 hz wells drilled there are maybe 8 injectors most in Deer Mountain you can do the math......Arcan is snowing the market ...more

In your opinion  do you believe the management team is delusional ? Maybe they think there like David Copperfield and can make Grand Illusions happen!! Whats your opinion on what they exited there yr end at? Do you think they possibly aquired a huge Can opener from an R and D company and opened up the ground to get those numbers?
