From my experience news is released shortly after the halt, so I'm expected news anytime now. I doubt the halt will carry on without any news into tomorrow's AGM.   Based on the recent rise in the SP you can expect good news.

They might wait until after the market closes. This is likely big news, and it wouldn't really be fair to lift the halt mid-day, as many investors wouldn't have a chance to see it, or trade on it. I think it is a sale of the whole mess. Also, they could release the news during trading, but keep it halted until tomorrow.

That's what I'm starting to think too jd43xi. If the halt drags on into the close then it's something big ie. a takeover. Still expect some news to at least explain the halt.

The halt was requested by ARN, pending an announcement. So we do have the explanation. We simply have to wait for the announcement!
