End user perspective

While researching another Stock, I stumbled upon ACT.  I actually work in the U.S. mining industry, and have had first hand experience with the Activemine system.  As well as seen first hand some of the competitors. and to be brutally honest, the ACT system is not a working solution.  it works in demonstration area's of limited size, but as far a a fully scalable solution NO,  once the node count gets past half a dozen, then you experience problems.  The WIFI backbone is not sufficient to handle that traffic efficiently  and the Handheld is a Joke .  ACT is a prime example of a bunch of Computer/IT guys, who had no clear understanding of the actual conditions of Coal mining and what IS and IS NOT acceptable, trying to pound a square peg into a round hole.  ACT is very good at their Press Releases, but find a Mining company, or even a Coal Miner and ask them their thoughts on the ACT system.
