A Little Profit Taking

Just a little profit taking in the last few days. AAL will see some consolidation and then off on the next leg.
The news is all very positive. Early days yet.

Highlights
  • All three holes intersect mineralized brine: 1st and 2nd holes have encountered lithium-rich brines and 3rd hole (still in progress) has hit mineralization with assays to follow.
  • 3.43km mineralized brine trend: Holes CNE-16-01 and CNE-16-02, both with significant intervals of mineralized lithium brines, are located 3.43km apart.
  • Intervals up to 202.8 ppm lithium over 109.7m: Lithium brines intercepted by 2nd drill hole at Clayton NE, CNE-16-02, have returned intervals up to 202.8 ppm lithium over 109.7m (286.5m to 396.2m), including peak values up to 227 ppm lithium over a 6.1m section (304.8m to 310.9m). These values are comparable to Albemarle’s brine samples from their Silver Peak operation, immediately adjacent to Clayton NE and are in line with results from the first hole at Clayton NE.
  • More results to come. Hole CNE-16-03, which has encountered 138,000 ppm TDS, is still in progress. Assays from holes CNE-16-01 and CNE-16-02 have shown that a relationship of TDS to lithium grade indicates a correlation between higher lithium values and higher strength brine.
  • Strong brine flows. Brine flows of up to 120 gallons per minute issued from borehole CNE-16-02 between 1,000 and 1,300 feet (304.8 to 396.2 meters). Analysis shows this zone carries significant lithium concentrations. High brine flows are important for economic production.
  • Clayton NE land package increased. The JV has staked additional land, increasing the overall land package to 437 ha.

Hi Target10, I agree that the news are positive in general. But I also see some uncertainity because of the water rights problem which is announced in the NR. I think the selloff is caused by this paragraph. Since I have not much knowledge about water rights in Nevada can somebody share his opinion on this, please? Thanks on advance.

I don't know all the particulars of the water issue, but I see it as a bit of a positive sign. It sounds to me that AAL's competitor in the area is playing 'politics'. They know there is plenty of lithium in the ground in nevada. The water rights will be solved in the short term. The big prize for AAL is the property in Argentina. Lots and lots of advantages and benefits to the ...more

Reading the news release it looks like Albemarle pushed the state engineer to suspend the water rights based on no evidence of use within a set number of years but while they were doing that, Nevada Sunrise and AAL were looking for and found evidence of usage. Based on that I'd say the ruling is going to get overturned on the appeal.  Pretty typical play for the dominant company in a ...more
