Elbow River is potentially more valuable in Parklands hands.  They have the financial strength to develop it into a greater asset.  AVF management, contrary to what many on this board believe, are not fools and would not have sold it off at the given price if they thought it was worth more to AVF.  If the money was not allocated to the Spyglass group, AVF would not likely have been ...more

Kisu, PKI jumped up $44M in market cap the moment the stock started to trade.   So apparently Avenex management didn't understand the value of the asset, and apparently they got taken to the cleaners.  That's the way the market is voting.   An acquirer shouldn't be going up in value after it makes a purchase!!   A good sale should always get a premium price for the ...more

Two knee jerk reactions (Parkland up, AvenEx down) does not mean the managment are dummies as is your contention.

Those two knee jerk reactions from the market  match what virtually all posters here are saying.   Everyone else in this deal went up and Avenex went down, which clearly reflects that Avenex shareholders lost value overall in this transaction.   If you have a counter argument make it.   No one has made the argument that Elbow River was only $80M of value.  No one is making ...more
