unfortunately got it backwards

Today we should have had 2 drills out in the nickel after successfully drilling the hell out of the gold over the last 2 years and having a RE out on the gold instead of nickel. The SP would have been significantly higher and we would have raised capital in a less costly manner. That would have allowed us to also have 2 drills out in the gold now also. With a good chunk of the world at negative very hard for Yelling Janet to raise with USA on the ropes with the rest of the world. I didn't think it made any sense to spend millions on the trip to the nickel farm as I didn't think price was sustainable. Hopefully we will get and keep getting significant drops in inventories. It's a fabulous asset hopefully for the future. The most precious commodity we have is the cash in the bank that got a lot costlier. As I have said before if it was worth the millions we spent getting a RE done on nickel it should be able to stand on it's own. As mentioned before our shares outstanding aren't in bad shape if you consider 2 great assets. At very least 1 great one and one pretty good one. As mentioned before I didn't think this was going to go well when I had my one and only conversation with DW aprox 18 months ago. I said shouldn't we put more emphasis on our gold instead of nickel and he said he didn't want to chase the flavor of the day. He is a very nice guy with a great attitude so I didn't feel like saying to him Gee you did just that when you took your eye off the gold and got nickel fever. Then a few months later a fellow at a symposium asked him when the company was going to focus back on the gold and he then said when it matters. DW seems to have had a come to Jesus moment so hopefully we don't take our eye of the ball anymore because the trip to the nickel farm was an expensive one. GLTA

I think you are a bit hard on D Wagner. He has expresssed his philosophy quite clearly to add value through the drill  bit and has done so. We have a PEA on the Nickel deposit which just needs higher nickel prices to get some interest from the nickel producers (Sherrit, Vale and Exstrata along with KGHM) this is a big enough deposit with upside to be of interest to all of them, but to spend ...more

Not sure you read my post or previous ones. I have said in previous posts D.W. a genius when it comes to finding good dirt. It is the execution that I have an issue with. I suggested over the last 2 years we drilled dramatically more in the gold and dramatically less in the nickel and got a RE out on the gold and not the nickel as we were told many times that would happen. DW got advice that ...more

You have been around BAR for quite a bit longer than me. Your perspective is,as you say, from the position of a back seat driver. A resource estimate on the Martinere gold requires a substantial drilling exercise (now underway). Whether this should have been done prior to the Grasset nickel discovery PEA is -or was a mangement decision. I think  DW has a plan and as more informaion becomes ...more

Your now saying I think we should have been doing extensive drilling in the gold prior to the Grasset find. One more time. Right after we found the nickel which helped drive our price up significantly we should have raised even more money and stuck with the drills in the gold. We did just the opposite. I don't think DW did that to hurt the company, he was trying to make a fast buck with the ...more
