Expecting more drill results throughout the fall. The way it's sounding we can look forward to open-pit shallow 43-101 resource estimates in the not too distant future. Personally, I would be happy with a Q1 2017 43-101 of at least one open pit. The key to share price appreciation will be the grade. For open pits the grade needs to be at least considered high-grade, i.e. greater than 4g/t.

DW doesn't sound like he's ready to sell the company. He's even talking about a small open-pit starter mine in their JV at Northshore.

For an open pit the grade that is required to give a major some interest does not have to be anywhere near 4g /ton. Open pits that are currently operating and those that are under development have a total metal value in the rock somewhere near $70.00 per ton. If the deposit has massive tonnnage potential thent the grade could well be abut 1.5 g/t or even lower. What is needed now is to see if the ...more

I got my g/t mixed up with underground mines. Thanks for clarrifying and the explanation. Let's hope DW gives us the much needed clarity soon. I am very bullish on BAR (massive land package, Abitibi, good prior drill hole results, good management, reasonable FD shares, no debt) and will probably buy another 5k shares before end of the week. That'll push my total BAR holding to 30k shares ...more
