Direct pay is a big deal. Today if a developer wants money for projects upfront they have to give upwards of 60% of the 26% Itc to a tax equity investor....incoming 30% direct pay provision gives projects more than double the cash upfront to fund projects...I don't think investors realize how big of a windfall direct pay will be when passed....this is a HUGE gamechanger for UGE.....

I agree - when you look at analyst commentary around direct pay for the big US solar companies - they get to a similar magnitude on direct pay - truly a game changer. When this finally gets passed ...more

What exciting is this a major ...more

If a developer is presently forced to give up 60% of the ITC to a tax equity investor in exchange for 40% of the ITC cash, 30% direct pay provision ACTUALLY would be more than three times more cash upfront...wowsers..that's probably why institutions like cormark have been loading the boat!....the average investor has no idea!!!!
