Yes

Considering QNX is in all but one EV platfomr, yes of course it is good.

VW wants to be the largest automotive producer, so an investment in the next best to Tesla makes much sense.  Remember VW have been building their own QNX foundational platform to take on the No. 1 status for most units... Rivian will need more cash eventually and VW will be there to take and make their stake more valuable.

Consider Toyota, the largest unit seller VW want to usurp.  Toyota also employ QNX as have all Japanese industrials.  The race for global sales supremacy is truly on and with QNX anchoring the next generations for plug and play.

Toyota have development deals with Subaru, Mazda, Honda, Nissan, BMW, on separate sales platforms.  Toyota like VW are diverifying.  Technology must be shared to win and these two titans are placing bets around the global sphere, Toyota maintain and gap VW while VW want to close and overtake.

The American manufacturers lost ground recently due to their desire to win with internalized technology platforms, not sharing.  Greedy objective to gather data has consumed GM, Ford and Stellantis to the point of losing marketshare while chasing their technology dreams while losing focus on their core business and strengths, manufacturing.

VW is massive, driving upmarket while trying to take the global crown from Toyota and Japan... interesting times indeed.
