Greg Gibson resigns
Barkerville's Gibson resigns as director, co-chairman 2017-03-30 12:12 ET - News Release Mr. Chris Lodder reports BGM CORPORATE UPDATE Greg Gibson has tendered his resignation as a director and co-chairman of Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. Sean Roosen will continue as sole chairman of the company. Mr. Gibson, along with the backing of Sprott Mining, led by Eric Sprott, led the restructuring of Barkerville Gold Mines at a critical time and successfully set the subsequent stage for the current development of the company, paving the way forward for the advancement of the Barkerville gold mine project to return to producer status. Chris Lodder, president and chief executive officer of Barkerville Gold Mines, commented: "On behalf of the board of directors and management of Barkerville Gold Mines, we would like to thank Greg and Sprott Mining for their invaluable contributions to advancing the project to this stage. We look forward to completing their vision by our goal of bringing Barkerville Gold Mines back to successful producer status in short order." Mr. Roosen, chairman of the board, added: "We are very grateful for the hard work done by Greg and the Sprott group; without their participation and co-operative spirit, Barkerville Gold Mines wouldn't be at the advanced stage that it is at today. With further rapid advancement of the project, we are confident that Barkerville Gold Mines will become Canada's newest gold producer in 2017."

What does anyone make of this resignation? I don't understand why someone would leave now considering the shape we are in. Thoughts?

With Roosen taking a bigger piece of the pie and controlling interest...no need for 2 chairmen.... Sprotts holdings are now dramatically reduced and I think Gibson was a Sprott guy... I dont see anything other than that. The resignation in my opinion was more of a ...thank-you for your service...but I will take the helm now...bye-bye!!

Chillyballs-I invested my hard earned dollars long ago in BGM I just gave you a history lesson more for other investors on here than for you as you don't khow everything about the history of Sprott and BGM.Also I don't need to ne chastlsed by you as I am certain that I have been here a lot longer than you.

I'm in exactly the same boat. I live and have worked claims in the area and have always "known the potential". I bought some pre George's exurberance and then I averaged down and bought lots in the teens on faith. I could have used that investment elsewhere while this was in the doldrums, but now I'm happy! Cheers to Chilly and the Arab

Chillyballs-Owe you an apology I had a little problem with a deer actually jumping out of a ditch and in no more than ten seconds hit the corner of my car totalling the car (no one hurt) part of the reason I missed that hews.
