IM-17-072; -078 Nuggety as Cow Mtn

Recalling that Cow Mountain's resource estimate was overblown because they did not constrain or cap the results at a reasonable upper limit, Island Mtn is showing the same effect in the recent drill results... eg.
17-072 reports 32.06G/T over 30M ... but that broad 32.06 g/t interval is skewed by several very narrow intervals with very high gold content ... eg 0.5M of 272 g/t, and 0.85M of 760 g/t, etc
17-072 similarly reports 11.42 g/t over 28.55M ... including 0.55M of 219 g/t.
No doubt about it, there's plenty of gold in that dirt - the downside is, the resource model will have to reduce these "nuggety" effects in the overall resource report ... the good news is, the resource report will be on the low end reporting how much gold is actually in that dirt.
Once we start mining, we will most certainly recover more gold than the resource report said was in the ground.

It will have to reduce these high grade values to only those those narrow intervals where they occur and also they will hve to cap them. That is why the recent releasses with the uncapped grade smeared over broad intervals is complete bs. From a company perspetcive though, it does great job of brainwashing the retail market and pushing up the stock price.

hammer161....can you show me the companies that report their drill results in a different manner than BGM.... I would like to compare their methods.... or do you simply like to piss down BGM drill holes?

Take a look at SIL and how they report their high grade silver values. They too have narrow high grade vein style mineralization. It is well known that BGM's ground is narrow and high grade - management themselves state that and indicate they feel they can operate a narrow UG mining operation. Then they turn around and spread narrow high grade assays over tens of metres and say 20 grams over ...more

...ok so now do you have one that we can compare apples to apples.... and not drilling more or less horizontally underground!!. When drilling vertically or off axis vertically... pretty tough to determine width I suspect that once underground we will get more accuracy in that range.... but at this point it would be more guessing than telling.   It would be mis-leading. My opinion. I have ...more

Good question. I agree with you that a lot of mining companies use similar methods to announce their drilling results. Hammer191, what's your cred if I might ask (that's credentials)? Are you a geologist, do you work in the mining industry or are you just a disgruntled investor who sold BGM at half today's price and are pissed off because you missed the big run up?
