April Fools Week

Anyone want to do some serious research?

The leading companies in rapeseed processing in the European Union are FEDIOL members.

Full ‘members list’… includes ‘all types of seed processing’ – including ‘wineries:

https://www.fediol.be/web/members/1011306087/list1187970073/f1.html

German members:

https://www.ovid-verband.de/der-verband/mitgliedsfirmen

Biggest Eur. rapeseed processing companies seem to be:

 Bunge

Bunge produces a variety of protein meal and edible oil products at soybean, rapeseed and sunseed processing plants throughout Europe.

 ADM

In Germany, ADM operates Europe’s largest oilseeds crushing plant. In recent years, global use of vegetable oils has increased and the markets for rapeseed, soy and palm oils are growing. Our Hamburg plant can refine and blend all three.

 Cargill

In Germany Cargill possesses three rapeseed mills − in Salzgitter, Mainz and in Riesa where rapeseed is processed into rapeseed oil which is then made into raffinate on site.

Lots of places who process rapeseed…

Doing some research may take some minds off of the events of the last few days....

But then, maybe all this is just a BioExx April Fool’s joke…

thank you gladfly, great link. Here below I found from yours:   https://www.fediol.be/web/rapeseed/1011306087/list1187970106/f1.html Rapeseed is planted either in the autumn (winter varieties) or in the spring (summer varieties). The winter varieties have a longer vegetation period and give a better yield, but can only be grown in areas with a mild winter climate. In Europe winter rapeseed is ...more

Foodhawk - you stated: " Rapeseed meal, with only 37 % protein content can hardly substitute soymeal in animal feeding. They represent 7 % of the vegetable meals consumed in Europe and can enter feed ratios in the proportion of maximum 15 % for chickens and 20 % for porks and milk cows.............."   This may be one of the significant 'drivers' of the potential JV partner  ...more
