Could it mean BXI is free to add members from prospective JV partners? What other reason would they have to make this announcement at this time? Watch for news of appointees, and we may find out who's interested. I honestly can't see the downside, BEAR's opinion notwithstanding.

I believe it is very significant! I believe they feel that they may get run out of office and they want time to prepare. Otherwise with no bylaw they could get the bums rush before they know it and have no defence. Just my opinion

Though "establishing a rapport with members of the food industry" is important, it's only one factor in successfully making deals.   Sometimes..actually quite often...big deals don't get done without a change.   This is a very astute precaution being taken or possibly a reaction to rumblings. In either case, I see it as good news regardless of what happens to the BOD ...more
