What is better buy

If someone would like to buy FDR or NRT what is better buy ,FDR or NRT Science both will be one on Feb 1 I understand this way 4x9 is =36 and that means is better then 47c for FDR now. So after Feb 1 if FDR takes off I could be winner ,Right or wrong ?

IMO, the main reason there has been a disparity in the price is that some have been unsure whether the merger is a sure thing. So, the risk involved in getting a better price, is that your 9 shares won't become a Flinders' share. Also, Big North has had to convert all of it's debentures to common shares as a requirement of the merger, so dilution without Flinders' being an ...more

@ favored : another point to consider is "transaction costs + liquidity", transaction costs in tersms of time it will take for the shares to be converted into flinders shares after they sign a definitive agreement, which bring us to the other inconvenient : liquidity. If you buy FDR you can sell any time, if you buy NRT you could be stuck for some time with your stocks waiting for them ...more

DoctorFouad: I have never experienced a delisting immediatly after approval of agreement. A conversion date is picked on which shares are tranfered automaticly over night without any disruption of share trading. One day you will be able to trade NRT and the next day you would be trading FDR shares. Very simple procedure.

I forgot to mention that "transaction costs + liquidity" are also a non-issue.

Another thing .: It is not certain there is a merger on February 1, since it is dependent on all investigations are completed and all necessary documents are available for inspection by the companies.   I think it has been difficult to get all the information and paperwork from the Mexican lawyers, and there is no assurance that they can be provided before the deadline.
