April 2017 BKX drilling update

Not much action with the release this morning that the brock 9-2H well has been drilled and cased under budget.  Let the fracking begin on these new wells already...

I have been asking that question for the past three weeks. Why do we have to wait until May to frac? The best answer I can come up with is we are not exactly high on the priority list. The fracking contractor surely has bigger fish to fry. That is why we need consistent and steady growth, so when we ask for a fracking stimulation we are not put at the bottom of the pack.

Broker...I'm going to be blunt here.Instead of asking questions the last 3 weeks you should brush up on your knowledge of fracking .It's not as clear cut as many think..its also a process that can involve many deliberate variables. Its too long of a process for me to explain but the complaining is getting tiresome. That imbecile Pablos incoherent nonsense doesn't have to be replaced by ...more

Relax wittman. A few posts ago, Radioguru was asking why the fracking was to take two months.[ "get on with the fracking already", was his words. I simply responded to his post with my thoughts. Maybe as our resident expert you could enlighten us with why it takes two months to frac a well?

You can save your sarcasm for a@@holes like Pablo.I'm not the resident expert. But I'll be sarcastic as well..again Read up on fracking...is that difficult? I'll say this..and try to make it short. It's always been about optimizing cost ..right?That's been repeated by the company countless times..right? So have you ever considered that by drilling and casing the wells first and ...more

Sorry but this company does not have the luxury of waiting months and months to frac a well. They have 1 year tops before expiry of their hedges.  They must be cash flow positive to fund their future capital expenditures OR as I have been saying they will dilute us again. By the way, I have done my DD on fracking and it does not take months to frac a well.

Broker you don't understand.Of course it doesn't take months to frack. But you know they must preserve captal,so by working on their wells in the manner they are...they are eliminating costly steps. You know the concepts of fracking in its most basic form...but not in a business environment  that BKX is in.Cost saving is the name of the game for them.Look at it that way the next time ...more

Great points, as always wittman, but consider this: This is not the first time this company has fracked a well. They have been fracking for the past ten years at this GEOGRAHICAL location. This is not a start up. They already know all the short cuts and most efficient methods, so that argument does not hold. Environmental rules have not changed and have been reduced, under their insane President ...more

Valid discussion is good as gold. But one must admit this company always danced to a different drummer..?..Anyway lately much bad press has oriiginated in OK.because of ground tremors but that's a side note.As for Trump..he's not insane ..far from it .He's actually highly intelligent.Don't get me wrong I don't like the man..never did...but neither does the press. So although he ...more

I love the way witless talks down to broker and everyone else. He's even know politics and governments of different countries. Wow a true know it all. He looks at facts he says lol like someone only sold half there shares. Ha ha he's lost his mind. I'm so happy I read his garbage every day. When he sells his position I'll be so sad.

pabaloo Where you going to answer my question and provide the post where Himmler said 35 wells this yr. or where you referring to this post of his on Feb 16 when you accused Himmler of being a liar. Don't avoid the issue when you call people liars either prove your right or apologize. " The above total Proved reserves are attributed to 11 of the Caney wells already drilled, four Woodford ...more

You are correct. I ment to say the next 5 years. That would mean putting 7 well on line each year and in my most humble opinion it isn't going to happen. Anyone who spouts that it is please give some colour on how it can be possible because what I see is a company spending millions on a few wells to keep there let's say production around 1000 with a high decline rate and it will take ...more
