How Much Are These Well Costing?

They report everything else in the most timely manners.... but they leave out this critical detail!

Anyone here asked the CFO this very question? Admittedly I didn't bother calling, but he patently ignored my inquiry. He was talkative until that point... Thoughts?

Yeah Auborn..here's a thought. You say you didn't bother calling,so how do you expect. the CFO to answer you??? As usual you make no sense. As a matter of fact you rarely do.You claim in the past to be an investor but I doubt it.Your posts are always negative...which is fine if they made sense...your posts don't.You ,being a nobody, actually expect a company to reply to an anonymous ...more

Witless is the arrogant mr know it all. Looks like it cost them 14 million or a bit more. they have no money left and it doesn't look like they added to there debt. Look like they may drill  a few more next year.

Hello Wittmman Your right, Auburn's last post does not make sense. However, I would also like to know what these wells are costing us. What is the pay back period? I am hoping, Macquerie, the only analyst following our firm will have a few answers.

The CFO was talking to me through e-mail until I asked him that.

Look at the TGL release today: "The three wells were drilled, completed and equipped for approximately $1.75 million ($2.2 million Cdn) per well. This is significantly below the initial estimated cost of Cdn $2.7 million per well." It doesn't strike you as odd that BKX reports everything but how much the wells actually cost?

Auburn you claim to have been in contact with management via e-mail.Prove it to this BB by posting your conversation. It should be very easy to do...and don't come up with dumb excuses please. I don't believe a word you say..so prove me wrong.

Why don't you ask him yourself? Anyone can call the company and ask. If they wanted to publicize the costs, they would have. They're keeping that very close to the belt at this time for reasons we can only speculate. They've gushed about all details except they haven't said a word about costs. I personally believe these wells are about $10 million apiece. I'm going by ...more

$10 million per well??? The last post you made reference to $8 million per well [2014 figures]. With the destruction in the oil market over the past three years, there is no way it costs 25% more today to drill than 2014. Netbacks are provided by the company, each quarter. I realize capital expenditures may not be part of the netback figure but it does give us something to work from.   ...more

Here is what found for drilling a new shale well: Look at the costs for Bakken The Current Costs for Drilling a Shale Well Posted on April 7, 2016 by admin It was 75 years ago when oil was initially detected in the Bakken shale of North Dakota. Some 60 years later, the technology finally caught up to the oil and gas risk assessment criteria. Horizontal drilling ...more

You know Broker, that it also depends geographically where the tracking takes place...It stands to reason that the Bakkan would be cheaper to frack..than where we are.Simply the infrastructure combined with the myriad of different companys drilling there would lead to a general cost reduction on average.Rigs galore .Not so in OKA.Could explain the initial delay in the years beginning. Also as ...more

"The fracture stimulation was successful, with 13.5 million pounds of proppant, or over 2,650 pounds per foot placed, on time and under budget." So what was the budget? Why wouldn't they say? I estimated $10 million because they're doing much more intensive frac jobs than they did in 2014.

Auburn..just as I thought. You sir are a liar..you never contacted management..Furthermore you can't read financials. The info you claim is 'secret 'is actually very obvious. Many oilcos don't summarise the cost per well..but since its doubtful you actually invest at all..you ignore that fact.It can be listed as multiple scenarios...such as capex..divided by the number of wells ...more
