If you believe that BNK Petroleum can get .50 cents US  a share or even .40 cents or .30 cents in a buyout then why aren't you buying the hell of the BNK stock at 16 cens US?  

I assuse top mangement and directors of BNK  can't buy shares in the open market if they are negotiating to sell the  XTO and know the offering price is well above the current price?    I think the problem is they want a buyout price that makes all their currently worthless stock options worth something a lot more than .50 cents a shares in a buyout.

cHello Mr, Cougar First, I own enough BNK. When you own more than most directors I think that is sufficient. Second, I am HOPING to get .50 cents Canadian in a buyout.[which would be a loss for me] I truly hope you are right and they are negotiating something. I do not think they have the luxury of waiting 24 months and see if the market recovers, as rahm suggests. Remember, their current wells ...more

Fair point. Most of the options are way out of the money though, so the large majority will be worthless if and when an offer materializes.  Bear in mind that Harrington bought a lot of its shares in the $0.40(Cdn) range, and the company of course would want the support of those shares in voting on a transaction.  My guess is if there was an offer at $0.50 Cdn it would have been ...more
