Table Pounding Buy!!!

Book value of $29.13 trading at $23.82. Owns some of the best property in the world, trading at 13 times earnings. Held by BAM. 7.3% dividend need I say more. This should actually be trading at a premium to NAV. Interest rates aren't going higher anytime soon, more probability that they go lower. This should be in every portfolio. We added a full position today as this is the best deal around at this time.

Even better, book value of $29.13 is USD... while trading value of $23.82 is CAD. It is trading at less than 0.62x BV.

Just a further clarification......Book Value (BV) in the traditional sense is historical cost, that is, its original purchase price.....believe me, the guys at BAM absolutely love when we mix up NAV and BV. The USD$29.13 being referred to is essentially managements "best" estimate of value using various assumptions and discount rates.   Make no mistake though, if Bruce Flatt ...more
