So thankful we live in Canada.  Genuine multiparty democracy, impressed with Doug Fords leadership.  Don't have much time for trust fund Trudeau - I made my own money. biden and trump are both sad reflections upon the situation in the USA. to say (1). Biden has a less than 20% chance of winning. (2) Trump creates jobs despite the latest jobs report.  (3). The S&p will ...more

doug ford did nothing right because the 3 reopening phases came months too late and it destroyed the economy. Now it's shut down again, but normal countries like germany have courts that deal with tyrants like Merkel and overturned her dumb decision to shut everything down, citing NO PROOF the lockdowns work. Meanwhile sweden wears no masks and nothing is closed. Keep huffing that glue bud.

I would have to agree with this as well. The newly imposed lockdowns are a tremendous threat to our province and will have disastrous long term effects. If there is evidence that indicates the lockdowns are "required", then release that evidence to the public.

yes - I will try to get the evidence from the relatives keeping vigil in our local ICU........................ As for Sweden - beautiful country, wonderful people: https://time.com/5899432/sweden-coronovirus-disaster/ I am sure Tucker Carlson will have a differing opinion.  "Fake news" you cry.............. Koolaid...........

This is not applauding lockdowns?  You are an actual imbecile.  You buy reits and ask for more lockdowns.  You are truely the biggest fool I have come across.  You can not even spell.  Grade 3.........

The point is that Ford has indicated he is acting based on the science, but science is about evidence which Ford either doesn't have or doesn't want to disclose. Sweden is an example to show that the drastic economic effects of lockdowns has created significant differences in cases or deaths, and that the difference in cases and deaths is cetainly not worth the continued economic costs ...more

Well said.  That is 100% the truth and a good comparison.   Rad10 says to buy more reits and at the same time insults Sweden for not locking down.  I love the comparison with automobiles.  That is 100% accurate.  That is essentially what these lockdowns are doing.

Ladislav i don't support a lock down - I just think ford has exceeded expectations. Peak infection in Ontario models around early November but will vary by location and population density. My expectations after the Wynn McGuinty disaster were low! Sweden didn't encourage social distancing, masking, and self isolation for the symptomatic. It didn't build up its testing infrastructure. ...more
