BAM/BPY offered us US$21 in April 2018 and they have been backing the shares all through and they have been the only real support for the stock.  I didn't sell into the offer at that time. Be sure, BPY has significant cash flow issues and it has lots and lots of problems to solve.  Having said this, the CEO and CFO should leave the Brookfield Group if the Board accepts the offer ...more

BAM is down 5% today. I am sure their shareholders are not ecstatic to be taking 100% of BPY's corporate unsecured debt.....Bruce Flatt has always been proud that the BAM entity has minimal corporate debt In my opinion, the decision to privatize is more about not wanting to cut dividend in public. they let the stock bleed from last ex div of $22 CAD to 18ish... of course this is the perfect bait. Guaranteed BPY stakeholders are gonna approve this
