In this scenario, book value means less than nothing. Common shareholders might get a penny or two, if they are lucky. Most likely, you will get nothing.

Book value will depend on value received on sale of assets assuming there is an offer, not on price paid to develop the reserves or infrastructure. I think potential offers in this market will leave little to nothing left over for shareholders - From a position of a full loss, anything recovered would be a bonus.  Perhaps we will know more in early January unless there is another court ...more
