tax question - Capital loss

Any opinions re: writing off my BXE shares within a Non-Reg account? Can I i take a Capital Loss on these for the 2019 tax year or do I need to wait? Appreciate any expertise on this.

Not sure if this helps but Income Tax Act s. 50(1) You may have an investment in some shares or debt which have become worthless, but you can't sell them because the security is no longer listed on a stock market.  There is a section of the Income Tax Act that allows you to claim a capital loss on these shares or debt even though you cannot sell them.  This section also applies ...more

Another option is to waite until the Belatrix fiasco run it's course in 2020 and you have the option of caring back the capital loss for three years.
