Can we be partners??

I was baffled at the time, as to why National Bank crossed 5M shares of RR on Feb 12. News was released on Feb 11 and the next day, the shares were crossed. Who sold, who knows! Who bought, who knows!

The SP on Feb 11 was about $3.80. Today, it’s at $3.12.

Was the seller aware of something fundamentally wrong with RR, or was he afraid that the entire junior mining market was heading south, so sold out at $3.80? Did the buyer figure that $3.80 for RR was a good price, and therefore bought, not knowing of an impending downturn in the market? Who knows!!

On Dec 3/12, National Bank was the lead company for RR’s $57.5M financing, at $5.50/share.

Doing my math, between Dec 3/12 and Feb 12/13 represents a $1.70/share loss, and only after ~2 months!! Perhaps, it was a case of just cutting their losses, and bailing.

All I can say is, if that was the thinking at the time, then it was just a case of bad luck for the National Bank investors, and bad timing.

Interesting though, in October/12, the share price was between $5.50 and $6.00. The financing went for $5.50. Perhaps everybody thought that the SP was going to continue north. As we know now, the SP headed south to where we are now. Obviously, the National Bank and everybody else didn’t know of the impending downturn in the commodity market.

So I can understand now, why National Bank made their moves. They were lucky!! I can also see why some of the other RR financing participants are unloading as well right now, although in a small way. The volume has been subsiding since Feb 12.

RR has a great resource, and certainly matches the Hemlo gold camp, in Hemlo’s early stages. With an 8.5M oz gold reserve, measured, indicated, and inferred, west of Bayfield Ventures’ Burn Block, this will be a great gold camp. This doesn’t even include what they may come up with (estimates) on the RR side of the Intrepid Zone, east of Bayfields’s Burn’s Block.

For disclosure, I have a few shares of both RR and BYV. I’ve never met, or talked to, any of the personnel for either company.

All of the above is based on my rambling thoughts for the area.

In conclusion, the postings by 20/20/12 have been great. I suggest though that you should change your ‘name’ to 20/20/13, to reflect your 20/20 vision in the year 2013. Thanks again!!
