Rip-off

There is nothing fair (no matter who says it is) about this deal for Bayfield shareholders.  It is opportunistic and predatory, coming at a time when gold companies have been pushed into the dumpster by big money manipulators and at a time when tax-loss selling is at its peak. No doubt it will be quite profitable for the management of Bayfield. If they had even a modicum of consideration for shareholders who pay their salaries and bonuses, they would have waited until after a run-up in BYV share price in the new year before entertaining any takeover offer. I am not a shareholder in BYV, but would be thoroughly disgusted with their acceptance of this ridiculous, low-ball offer.

This isn't a surprise.  Management looks after itself, the shareholders be damned. Same rip-off deal here as with Cayden and Agnico-Eagle. The long-term effect of continuing rip-offs such as this is that investors/speculators will forsake the junior explorers for the majors which at least pay dividends but don't have much leverage unless the price of gold rises steeply, which it ...more
