Acreage Holdings Inc > I've taken quite a bit of

I've taken quite a bit of

backlash for what I am thinking about Acreage and their importance to Canopy but I stand by it and the shareprice firming up suggests that I am on the right track.  There is a real deal on the books between Canopy and Acreage where Canopy will assume the fixed shares of Acreage when there is some clarity and immunity from Federal prosecution for Canopy to do so.  Massive trading on US exchanges by US investors piling in to Canadian lps as well as US MSOs is pretty indicative of the sentiment and bravery of investors to bank on the Feds leaving enforcement or non-enforcement up to the individual States.  To the best of my knowledge there have been zero actions by the Feds in this regard but Canopy wants official descheduling at the Federal level before they go full bore bringing all they can to US consumers.  In the meantime, they are loopholing their way into the US market through Acreage Holdings and branding deals for Acreage to deliver Canopy branded products to US consumers.  Right now at current prices for Acreage and Canopy and about 3 shares of Acreage will get you one of Canopy, there is money to be had for those that position themselves to take advantage subject to this happening.  Cannabinoid investors are expecting this to happen and even Canopy's leadership expects this to happen in the next year.  A back of the envelope calculation puts Acreage at $9 ish to level out the deal which is a nice touch if it happens.  I also see value in Acreage floating shares at current prices but may take longer to materialize for investors because of the possibility of Canopy not triggering that deal or delaying it for whatever reason.  In my crystal ball, I see Canopy assuming Acreage and pumping everything they've got at to be at least 10 times what they currently are in Canada based on population alone.  Investors are starting to act on Acreage because of the potential as they recognize the reality of the situation and when we get a trigger it will launch Canopy's shareprice to old highs or newer highs.  Canopy is a world leader in cannabinoids and Acreage is a leading MSO and they have deep pocket Constellation backing the whole deal.  A perfect trifecta of companies with a plan and highly motivated while fully recognizing that the US is essential and the legalities are being dealt with.  glta and dyodd

Agreed there's little respect for Acreage and to lesser extent Canopy $CGC. Everybody loves MSOs for good reasons but the Canopy trifecta ($ACRHF, $TER) can be a powerful force in US if the feds act decisively to legalize cannabis. Dems would need to introduce legislation SAFE+ MORE and also delist marijuana by decree. $ACRHF $ ACRG.A.U shares are still attractive buys. Noteworthy, is that ...more

And still, several other Canadian lps are doing massive volumes through US markets.  ACB, APHA.  Not to complain about CGC/WEED which has done well lately.  I can only attribute it to the higher price that Canopy shares are getting.  I know that I am always looking for more shares for less money in similar companies that I feel have the same potential.  Getting a multi ...more

If you take a close look at the number of shares provided days ago to the new Director - K Bayne they provided her a split of about 1 fixed for every 9 floating shares for a total of about 100,000 shares. Clearly IMHO they are keeping share number of fixed shares low as part of the agreement with Canopy to purchase fixed shares. A high share count on floating shares might be a deterent for Canopy ...more
