Acreage management

went on a wild buying spree when they put the company together.  It was also done at high times for valuations and done at overly enthusiastic prices.  What they have is pretty diverse and most would be a good fit for the Canopy takeover.  Marijuana and hemp companies got way ahead of themselves and got serious re-evaluations with more emphasis on bottom line than future potential.  That has been reflected in the shareprice of both the fixed and floating shares and leaning out continues to get this where it needs to be as a stand alone entity.  Canopy bringing their clout to the deal could accelerate this and the US is critical to success as long as law and policy makers don't go down the same road as they have in Canada.  In Canada they set up the whole system with a lot of backout clauses and pretty much strangled LPs success before they ever got a toehold.  I have more hope that US politicians will not do the same.  They are already ahead of the game with packaging but need to move to a level playing field with alcohol.  The US could put some serious effort into their triggering event and clear up a lot of things by doing their lawmaking with a nationalistic approach to eliminate interstate transfer problems along with banking and any other tools that businesses normally have.  The US business accumen is world class and hopefully government can step up for marijuana and hemp's future success and assist rather than desist.  glta and dyodd
