Why isn't everyone using solar power?

I have a good guess, because it's still too expensive. Only in the last few years has it come down in price but still expensive. When you factor in the cost of the panels, installation and battery storage, the cost is hardly worth the 20 years to get your money back when you have power at the road.

The same is true with crops that need high intensity lighting, fans, ventilation and heat (in winter months). It's too expensive compared to produce shipped to your local grocery store from warmer regions.
When stawberries start selling for $20 a pint, you might make a small profit.

Best thing AFI can wish for is world collapse, no shipping of any kind, no fuel, no manufacturing, farms destroyed by solar flares etc., Then this would make sense.., no wait, if that happens there's no electricity grid either. I guess we're right back to those expensive solar panels again!
