I don't mean to question your understanding of the human trial methodology but , hypothetically if you're entire company's life is waiting on a chronic cough trial and the trial experiences something negative, would you end the trial? Would you finish a trial that no one will run? Or would you stop talking about it and move on?

To be clear , I believe that the chronic cough trial has had an outcome that has not been disclosed to the market. Rather negative or neutral outcome that has stalled the trial, there is no other reason for such a long delay. How you put any hope in this management team is beyond me, but to each their own.
