The winter drill program at the B26 Deposit is well underway, with Abitibi Metals aiming to complete a minimum of 10,000 meters by the end of March. This initiative marks the first phase of a fully funded 30,000-meter field season slated for 2024.
This initiative stems from the option agreement entered into on November 16, 2023, allowing Abitibi Metals to earn an 80% ownership in the B26 Polymetallic Deposit over 7 years from SOQUEM Inc. Notably, the deposit indicated resource is 7.0MT @ 2.94% CuEq and its inferred resource is 4.4MT @ 2.97% CuEq.
Deluce emphasized the primary goal of the program, which is to assess the open-pit potential at the B26 Deposit, with a specific focus on increasing near-surface tonnage along a 1.2-kilometer strike length.
"We are currently completing our winter drill program at the Deposit, where a minimum of 10,000 metres is targeted by the end of March under the first phase of a fully funded 30,000-metre 2024 field season," stated Deluce in alignment with the Company's press release.
Abitibi Metals is strategically considering the addition of a third drill to sustain the positive momentum generated by these developments.
The Company's commitment to meticulous exploration is evident, with fourteen holes already completed, totaling 4,275 meters.
These drilling activities, as outlined in the press release, are strategically focused on three targets along the strike, with depths of up to 300 vertical meters.
Deluce's update, complemented by the recent press release, underscores Abitibi Metals Corp's dedication to advancing exploration efforts and evaluating the resource potential of the B26 Polymetallic Deposit.
As the Company continues to execute its comprehensive exploration strategy, stakeholders can anticipate further updates on progress and significant milestones achieved in unlocking the Deposit's value.
