Message re: Cease Trade Order sent today

To:Marc Lakmaaker,Mark Lakmaaker Australis Capital-Audacious
Thu, Oct 20 at 11:47 a.m.

As noted in my telephone message earlier today, it is essential that Australis-Audacious clearly and immediately issue a public explanation for the Cease Trade Order that was implemented yesterday prior to the market opening by British Columbia Securities Commission.

Clearly, you/the company were fully aware of the processes and procedures at least since August 1, 2022 when a required document filing extension was discussed with regulatory authorities.

How could you justify a news release regarding Anthony Demeo at the same time as shareholders were shattered by the company's inability to maintain its listing?

An obvious concern now is:
In the days prior to the Cease Trade Order being issued, market trading activity was significantly greater than historical patterns, so ordinary shareholders must ask:

Was foreknowledge of the imminent order shared with specific people?

Please reply as soon as possible.

So....did you get a reply back?
Comment by Howard46 on Nov 03, 2022 12:36pm
No ESRESR. Frankly, I didn't anticipate that I would. Moreover, I don't expect the necessary filings to allow the company to re-list will appear any time soon, if at all, despite the content of the October 28. Corporate Update. They have had at least since July to attend to all matters and acknowledge an extension was required on August 1. . This is not a large nor extremely complex ...more

Wow glad I wasted my time reading that.  Quoted frauds from years ago.  Let's just see if they can get their act together and then we can pass judgment. Cheers

wow. Good on you pushing the issue. Unfortunately it is falling on deaf ears. All we can do is hope for the best I guess.

You are likely right ESRESR; Sadly, the security exchanges are pretty toothless and understaffed when it comes to regulatory investigation/enforcement. Cease Trade Orders are pretty much the extent of their capacity and do nothing for existing shareholders. As for the management/directors of AUSA it appears they have collected as much as they believe they can from investors so will move on to ...more

It is often a gamble for sure. I do not expect this one to go private though. Anything thing is possible but I just don't see it.

I cannot believe I just noticed that AUSA is not trading anymore.  With all my Cannabis in the dumps I assumed that's why it wasn't moving.  Is this finished, have we lost everything.  It is still trading in OTC, why not just journal over the CDN shares to the U.S. side and sell them there, looks like AUSAF on OTC is trading for around 0.09 cents CDN.  Have you done ...more

Hello Howard, I would like to ask you as well.  Were you able to sell your AUSA Canadian shares.  I feel stupid, I just noticed the cease trade order, I just thought it was sitting at 0.02 cents because all cannabis is in the dumps.  I noticed it is still trading on OTC at AUSAF, they are putting out news as well, why not just journal over our CDN shares to OTC in U.S and sell the ...more

Jacks10.. hello, sorry for not replying to your questions earlier. Like you, I anticipate having a significant loss.    As for "journalling" CDN shares to OTC-U.S., I don't know the answer for sure but anticipate the Cease Trade Order would freeze transactions in any form.  Sure hope you do have success with your request and look fook forward to learning how it goes ...more

thanks I am not expecting it will work.  I tried this with another stock last year that went CTO in CDN and tried to sell it on OTC and my broker said it could not be done.  So far, they still have not even journaled over my shares to OTC AUSAF, so I will wait a few more days to see if AUSAF increases in price a bit more (up 13% yesterday) and call them direct to put in a day order to ...more

CTO is on OTC as well for CDN, only those residing in U.S can trade OTC shares.
Comment by Jacks10 on Dec 06, 2022 9:50am
Howard,  Can I ask if you have already gifted your shares?  Or is there a way to take a loss and still keep the shares in case they resume trading next year?  I know you are leaning toward low chance of trading resumption.  What is your plan of action?
Comment by Howard46 on Dec 06, 2022 3:03pm
So far Jacks10 I haven't my shares. I  guess it's mostly because I'm expecting (fingers crossed) to need the loss in 2023. As for "plan of action???"  Other than chasing the BCSC to try and make something.. anything happen in terms of investigating Australis I don't truly have one. There is little to be gained from attempting to chase them through the courts ...more

Good luck going forward Jacks10. I imagine many will join you. Chances are I will as well in this fiscal year, though I'm still thinking I'll save the write-off for 2023.

I take it you only had a few shares and you were just sick of looking at it.Odd that you would Gift it though since there is a chance it could start trading again. No bankruptcy notice yet.
Comment by Howard46 on Dec 14, 2022 12:15pm
Kind of a combination of your points ESRESR. I'm down to just 25000, so you're right... not a bunch of shares anymore and yes, I've watched it for more than long enough. However, if I felt there is any life left to the company, I would continue to hold. I don't. Nothing suggests they have been genuine with the last few news releases. At least to me.   As for bankruptcy filing. ...more

Like many others here I understand your frustration. I never invested in Aurora. As bad as things look at present I have no choice to have a hopeful outlook that this one will still surprisingly be able to pull a rabbit out of the hat. Gut feeling is telling me we won't be waiting too much longer to finally learn what has been going on behind the scenes. PS- I was just surprised why anyone ...more

Howard,  Have you seen the news on the management change for Audacious?  Also an audit update saying they are confident they will be filing a complete financial result in the coming weeks.  What do you think?  Sounds like good news, can AUSA come back to trading on the CDN side?
Comment by Howard46 on Dec 23, 2022 4:19pm
Jacks10; apologies for delay in my reply. Yes, their communication(s) are positive and I'm certainly hoping, sincere. I have no information to suggest otherwise.  Doubts only exist now due to the time it is taking to complete documents and address the Cease Trade Order. Continue to hope I've been wrong from the onset and my fingers are crossed for a happy outcome.   .
