OMG dont tell me you actually believe that! Setting a high sell order doesn't do a thing. Shorters can't STEAL your shares! It doesn't work like that. Only fools believe that. In order to take a short position the broker lending you shares needs to own the shares themselves. If they don't have them they borrow from a mother broker that does.

Brokers are not allowed to lend the shares you purchsed out. They are set aside in a dedicated account. It isn't legal for them to do so. Just think about for yourself for a second. Imagine if your shares were lent out to someone in a short position and you wanted to sell your long position at the same time. How do you think that would work? If your borker could lend your shares out there
