Cinaport has different areas of business, BUT interestingly enough, one of the things Cinaport does is invest on behalf of high net worth Chinese investors and corporations that are interested in investing in North America. One of the investment mandates is to invest in infrastructure.
Guess who the chairman of Cinaport is? One of Tonys fellow board members on Metrolinx. All freely available data. So I ask myself? If it were me at the helm, would I try the path of least resistance first? You bet.

I agree that funding would be best domestically, but perhaps we are looking at this the wrong way. If they line up investors from elsewhere, it could bode well for us. Might be a very good bargaining chip for KWG to be able to say that we have secured funding. At that point if Canada and the US want to keep this in our own hands (lets say from a critical earths security point of view) then KWG is

If the natives in the ring of fire and area had control of their enviroment including the mining aspect then we could get this going. The accidental spills that will ultimately occur weather it's a gallon of desiel fuel or anything that has enviromental laws already in place and controlled  will happen. So hire them to do it. Hell the people there might not even relocate?

Dug this up: Marquis has a relationship with the Martel family, also in some ways and shapes involved in the rail biz but also politics. Mistyblue. I agree. Any infrastructure should be done by and within it's own continent!!! Trade with your neighbours first and do not let outsiders try to make the rules.
