This just continues to P_ss me off. Matawa, actually not all matawa but one group in particular who are a great distance from the ring and are not getting a equal slice of the pie are whinning. Where do they think money comes from? This mining district will benifit all of the said groups. So if they actually would like to be helped ( with cash, jobs, roads, hospitals, education etc) they should be ...more

Hmm, you say "if they would like to be helped". Are you serious? I can't pretend to understand all of what FN goes through on a daily basis throughout the year but I think any "help" that has been given by the Canadian government thus far has been minimal to what could actually be done to improve the region. (Last 100 years) The only reason anyone is talking about " ...more

Haul jockey imo the kn had thier chance canada needs to move on this an just make things right for them. They are trying to fix the 100 years of issues an holding it over people that weren't alive then. They say they want to improve thuer lives well they pay no taxes because thier native that's not much but it puts them in that fold of people I worked out west an was paying 2000 a week in ...more

Yes I did say if they would like to be helped!! That insinuates that they are asking for assistance, not a flipping hand out. The ROF is something that would provide high paying jobs, royalties no matter how big or small. The opportunity to work, pay no taxes unlike the rest of us Canadians. They should be taking advantage of the training courses being provided and getting ready to work for a full ...more

I get it, you want to make money now, but why must FN be like us? You just assume they should see it the way others like yourself do. Your comments about the FN are borderline racist, not quite, but close. Treaties dating back decades have not been honoured in some cases, and in others they've been outright dismissed or broken altogether. In some cases, I've been told FN tribal leaders ...more

First off, I am far from racist. You speak out both sides of your mouth though. Canada needs to have businesses, people working and paying taxes to provide for others. The Ring could provide thousands of high paying jobs for Canadians, FN's etc ( non discriminatory ) if people want to work. I agree in some cases the treaties have Not been honoured and this needs to be rectified. On the other ...more

Hauljockey, this isn't the first time you've thrown a long term kwg poster under the race card bus. No one here is racist or borderline racist. They are frustrated with the level of incompetence being portrayed by certain groups within the native community. The money being given or not being given to the neskantaga tribe is no fault of our government but of their own political party. The ...more
