Background on Magpie
Can anyone help with the background on Magpie. KWG is acquiring all the special shares. Who owns the common shares? Is it Fancamp? I see Fancamp has a 2% royalty. This transaction would seem to further strengthen the relationship between the two companies and at the same time reduce the reliance on ROF. Thanks

seems KWG/CACR is opening up an old wound? This could be a delicate situation. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20210514005271/en/Fancamp-Files-Civil-Claim-Against-Mr.-Peter-H.-Smith

Yes Fancamp owns it. It's been tied up in legalities for many years but todays news puts it squarely back on the table. As an investor in both companies I'm STOKED! There was lots of discussion on agoracom about it over the years if you want to check out the history.

This is the current managements side of the story. The other side is that Dr. Smith protected Magpie from the Billionaries club. IMO that is the truth. I really don't think he'd let Magpie go unless it's good for investors. He is a honorable person.

Startenout - the connection is likely Rajesh Sharma who is on the KWG board and CEO - director at Fancamp. A bigger master plan to consolidate critical minerals to attract interest from south of the border. The Conrad Black connection plays into this model.

I won't speculate on that, but I will say Dr. Smith is a man of character and intellect. I respect him. I really think if he's letting Magpie go, it's good for investors on both ends of the deal, whatever it entails. Mr. Sharma is probably okay at his job, but I highly doubt he deserves any credit beyond being a rubber stamper and figurehead.

Do you believe everything you read, especially during a noxious proxy battle? I think if you took the time to research the genesis of The Magpie Mines Inc, you will find a completely different narrative. Totally disagree with the comment that Smith tried to self deal and burn shareholders. It was the complete opposite.
