Some basic mineralogy

Chalcopyrite - CuFeS2 - It is an excellent copper ore
Bornite - Cu5FeS4 - Another excellent copper ore
Molybdenite - MoS2 - The only common ore of Molybdenum
Magnetite - Fe3S4 - An excellent iron ore if found in quantity

Pyrite - FeS2 - Waste rock.  May indicate Gold.
Pyrrhotite - FeS - Waste rock. May indicate Gold.
Feldspar, Biotite, Chlorite, Garnet - Silicate waste rock.  Components of a buggered up granite.
Limestone/Calcite/Marble - Carbonate waste rock

Only the first four are important to the average investor.  They will translate into Cu, Mo and Fe grades.  Further details pending.
