Globemin Hires Investment Relations Firm ccnm VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 12, 2004) - Further to the news release announcing Globemin Resources Inc. (the "Company")'s appointment of SmallCap Corporate Partners Ltd. ("SmallCap") as management consultants and investor relations representatives on September 22, 2004, the Company would like to elaborate that this arrangement between the Company and SmallCap is for a negotiated term of six months at $21,000 plus GST paid from the working capital of the Company. The Company also granted stock options to purchase 50,000 common shares each at an exercise price of $0.40 to the owners of SmallCap - Mr. John Kuehne and Mr. Frank Quinby. These options vest in stages over 12 months with 12,500 of such options vesting every 3 months. SmallCap is a full-service management consulting and investor relations firm located in Victoria B.C. SmallCap is in the business of creating value for growing companies by working closely with management to enhance their business model, making presentations to sources of capital, and providing continuing capital market advisory and out-sourced investor relations services. SmallCap and its owners are at arm's length with the Company. During the term of the agreement, SmallCap will provide those usual customary services performed by an investor relations firm to a public company including, but not necessarily limited to the following: - Assist in developing a shareholder relations program designed to increase awareness of the Company within the public and private investment community; - Receive and respond to investor telephone and email inquiries; - Distribute the Company news announcements to the SmallCap contacts; - Work with analysts and newsletter writers to ensure they understand the Company and give it fair review; and - Feature the Company in the SmallCap newsletter, The SmallCap Catalyst, at least six times during the course of the agreement. SmallCap publishes the e-newsletter, "The SmallCap Catalyst", which focuses on the markets, economics and small capitalization public companies (www.smallcap.ca/smallcapcatalyst.htm). In co-operation with the Company's management group, SmallCap will be working to develop a consistent, positive identity that creates favourable responses to major corporate initiatives and strategies.
