Is the son actually moving this stock along? With the raise in capital gains tax in Canada; this decades loser in my non-registered trading account is going going gone to capture some of the gains that I'll taking b/4 the extra 16.67% kicks in here (Canada) on June 25th. jmo UNKLAL

Unkala I  have not had any capital gain since 2016. But 66 percent tax on capital gains is something that people would show more anger towards JT and his party. I don't know what else I can say Good luck

Don't know much about Canadian cap gains tax.I thought that 66% tax sounded extremely high,so I did a little research.I think it means that 66% of the gain is taxable. 50% of gain is taxable now and for a gain over C$250k would go up to 66% of gain taxable.So,if I'm correct,this is not 66% tax on the gain,it means 66% of the gain is taxable,at whatever your tax rate is.Let me know,if I' ...more
