Heap Leaching being explored

https://www.wallstreet-online.de/nachricht/14600686-goldinvest-de-envirometal-technologies-ceo-bilanz-covid-19 We have now begun initial testing of the potential applicability of the EnviroMetal reagent in conventional heap leaching of low grade gold ores. In heap leaching, metal-bearing ore is stacked on an impermeable base and watered with a chemical solution over a long period of time in order to dissolve the gold. The gold-containing solution is caught when it seeps into the bottom of the heap. The company's recent advances in electrochemical regeneration of the solution have significantly reduced the cost of the chemicals, and it is hoped to find a cost-effective alternative to the current widespread use of cyanide in this application. About 15% of the annual gold production is obtained by heap leaching.
