Conducting Criminal activities should translate into a halted stock by the exchange.

As far as I know there is no criminal investigation into the actions of the company or the previous owners and I doubt there will be one. If they prosecute Ascent for selling to dispensaries after the fact inevitably the fact that authorities never even bothered to find the source of the mountains of product on dispensaries shelves will come to light and probably make things very messy for the

Walter, with all due respect,  if you really believe ASNT purchased and sold through illegal network and wont be prosecuted.... i dont know what to say!  a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y guanranteed a criminal investigation is active. it is the firm duty of Health Canada inspectors to report not only to health canada any wrong doing but also report any criminal activities to the concerned

We'll see, but for the reasons I listed, I doubt anyone gets prosecuted. Should they be? Hell ya. But Cops didn't investigate then and they won't now. Cops and authorities left those dispensaries alone for the most part for years because they knew that public opinion would side with the army of "patients" who just needed medicine that the government couldn't provide and

They reported income of 9 M$ in 2017 mostly earned in Canada so I'm sure they paid taxes on all that income. Problems will arise there if that money is proven to have been obtained illegally in a court of law.

I agree. There is no way they will ever get a license in Canada and they will likely lose their Nevada license. Hopefully they go for a sale and get a decent price for their assets and IP or sell the company to another group or individual to revamp, rename and rebuild from the ground up.
