hoping to get other to sell so they can average down on 
their shorted shares....

Shorters don't make anything on shorted shares, as a short they are  worth nothing so eventually they need to get those shorted shares back.... They can bring the share price to .0005 cents and they still don't make  a dime until someone sells shares back to them lower than they lowes shorted price..... So, if no one sell less than  50 cents that is what all the shorters
