stockman by the way there are very few respectable financial institutions the majority are shiates they don't care about supporting companies and seeing them properly grow. The majority of them only look for fast profits and once they take all the benefits and advantage of "giving" companies monies to use through raises they dump shares aggressively take their 20 percent and move on ...more

when I held shares in espial technologies a few years before it was bought out there was global max fin who took part in a $2 pp and the equity was trading solid at $2.25 for a good chunk but people started manipulating it down so much so as it hit $1.60 Global Max kept buying up shares and were continuing to do so despite the constant low prices. I sold out made a small profit but for as long as ...more

not sure why my long response did not post and another one of you being rude to a poster was erased as well. Go read the Canadian Securities Course text books. By the very nature of one part of the primary market being the financial institutions providing shares to us the secondary retail market yeah they park their money into "junk like this" where do you think our shares are coming ...more

The underwriters transfer the shares to the investment houses through cross trades, hence primary market. Large shareholders buy from the investment houses also through cross trades because retail trades are too small. Retail investors (you and I) buy from each other, hence secondary market.
