Ontario Projections
Ontario is expected to grow total sales of all pot products by 17%. This number does not have new stores oppening in 2023, this will likely add an additional 10% to the growth numbers depending on how many open. Sales are projected to be 2.4 billion bucks. Of this it's still not clear what percentage beverages will be. Numbers of gross sales of beverages range from a low of 5.2% to a high of 14% of total pot sales. The weekly sales numbers are what we watch and since the change in regs the first week we saw a 0.208% increase the second weel we saw 0.211% increase in beverage sales. Project the average of these out 52 weeks and we see a 10.894% increase of beverage sales or ablout 13% of the total pot sales in the province. Will it grow at this clip throughtout the year, well that remains to be seen. If these numbers hold up and we use the present market share of this companies Ontario market we would see over 70 million in sales just in Ontario alone by years end. In my opinion about september will show where we will likely end up and see if this rule change does indeed make that much of a difference. Myself the projection numbers for year end I am using are a 6% beverage market share overall and a 30% market share by this company in the Ontario market for a relistic year end sales projection of 43.2 million for Ontario and an additional 6 million for the rest of the country for a grand total of 49.2 million. This is my low end number. Now if they enter Alberta and Quebec and the gov surveys are correct that number will explode well over 100 million. The beauty of all this is we can follow this as the year progresses on all the data info public web sites.
