What's going on?
On January 23, 2021, JT filed the following in the criminal trial against Mr. Ossa:

WITHDRAWAL FROM CRIMINAL COMPLAINT
JGTF, attorney, for the plaintiff, in the case concerning falsification and/or malicious use of a private instrument against FELIPE OSSA GUZMAN, named “LOPEHANDIA CORTES, JORGE RODRIGO/ OSSA GUZMAN, FELIPE”, RIT O-7726-2020, to this Court, I respectfully state:
For the present and for strictly personal reasons, I come to withdraw from the present criminal complaint brought by Jorge Rodrigo Lopehandia Cortes.
THEREFORE,
I REQUEST THE COURT: Accept the request.

Today, January 26, 2021, the Court replied:

In response to the above request, given that under the terms of reference incorporated in the present case, the requesting attorney does not have sufficient powers to be dismissed, the request is inadmissible.

With this date, I notified the previous resolution by the Daily Journal.

I have no idea why JT asked to withdraw from the case.

Perhaps his "personal reasons" might be reflect a dissatisfaction of not being paid by his client? Surely it has nothing to do with the possibility of another imminent loss - why spoil a perfect record?

Both of your speculations are reasonable. Either way, there seems to be some friction between JL and JT. Someone has some 'splaining to do. LOL
