There's a down market that drives a stock down, but then there is tanking on no news.  Good God this stock has fallen!  I never sold up high and am still holding, so these prices make me gag.  Probably time to average down, but why soooooo low on this stock, with a property that has very good potential? Don't get it.

Flyder, here's a theory: NFLD PR dated May 27 2021: NFLD announces they are beginning Phase 1 of their diamond drilling program at Schooner (Mt. Peyton) "today". NFLD PR June 29 2021: NFLD announces they have completed Phase 1 at Schooner (7 holes, 2,400m total) with intital assay results expected in 6 to 8 weeks. Drill moved to Quinlan Veins (Dog Bay). To date, no ...more

Seems to me that anyone else in the area that finds V/G follows up on it, but i heard some time ago these guys already talking about J/Vs. That's when I sold. Bought around $.50 and sold around a buck, missed the big run up and was beating myself up about it, but now in hindsite, I'm satisfied. Still watching with interest and may buy back if and when things are looking up a bit.

Warlockkk, I agree if a company sees a significant amount of visible gold in cores pulled at a particular zone, it makes sense to stay there and follow up with additional holes. I think part of the problem with NFLD is they have so many scattered land packages yet apparently only one drill. My hunch is that the Schooner cores didn't impress visually, so NFLD decided to move the drill to their ...more

My favourite NFLD property is Middle Ridge (still doing a DD).

Another interesting one is Great Bend, as it catches the southern-most portion of the Appleton Fault adjacent to NFG's southern boundary.

That's a good one too!! It's got greywacke (same rock as Keats) and it's got the faults.

Someone asked this question during the Newfoundland.Gold webinar a couple months ago, about why they chose Schooner as their first drill target.  If I remember correctly, it had more to do with the location being easier to get to, and not that it was the highest priority target.  They needed to build roads, sites, etc to the other targets, so they started with Schooner.

Flyder, From NFLD's website: Exploits Receives First GoldSpot Exploration Target Note: I believe the date of the news release should read "January 14, 2021", not January 14, 2020.

Flyder, the second target picked by NFLD is the Quinlan Veins prospect located in the Dog Bay Project, which is the land package NFLD has that is farthest north, so I'm not sure if NFLD is picking their targets based on GoldSpot's recommendations, the ones most accessible, or a combination thereof as they move their drill around....?....Nonetheless, GoldSpot did recommend Schooner as the ...more

. Goldspot is responsible for NFG finds. I don't think anyone is doubting their services on the contrary with the two new companies they picked up most of the Juniors will have a relationship with them.

To cut GoldSpot some slack, another possibility is, along the same line as Flyder's comments, it may be the case that GoldSpot's initial examination didn't include most of NFLD's claims when they made the Schooner recommendation. NFLD's Schooner / GoldSpot press release was issued in January. NFLD and GoldSpot have been working together to scan all land packages using VTEM ...more
