Gerardo Del Real: This is Gerardo Del Real with Resource Stock Digest. Joining me today is the CEO of Nine Mile Metals, Mr. Patrick Cruickshank. Patrick, great to have you back on. How are you?
Patrick Cruickshank: Very good. Thank you for inviting me back.
Gerardo Del Real: No, listen, we talked a bit off air about the macro scene right now. There's volatility in the bond market, unlike anything that most of these new traders have ever seen. People that have traded for the past, I would say 14 years and started say 2009, 2010, have never really seen a bear market draw down like the one that is happening on a global scale right now, a central banker induced one. With that being said, we know one thing, we know that critical metals, battery metals, copper, lithium, nickel, these are commodities that are necessary. These are not wants, this isn't jewelry, this isn't a currency hedge. These are necessities for the global economy. Both you and I were talking a bit off air about how the pivot's coming and the better companies always take advantage of these markets to advance their projects. I wanted to have you back on because I know you've done a lot of great technical work behind the scenes that I think is yielding some pretty exciting results from what I hear.
Patrick Cruickshank: Yeah, we haven't stopped at all, Gerardo. Back to your macroeconomic analysis, yeah, I mean supply is in global shortage across the board and a lot of your base metals and EV metals and so on and demand has not stopped. We still have our supply issue, but we just got to keep working forward, doing the work and technically bringing our exploration program to fruition. Again, from a macro perspective, this is when you make real investment choices. Someone did say buy low, sell high at some point, so this is, these only come every 10, 15 years lately, these cycles of buying opportunities that I truly believe we are positioned and a lot in our sector are positioned for long term appreciation.
We've been working continuously since our last drill program. We never stopped, went straight into phase two pre-work. We just completed a thousand line kilometer UAV, high definition drone survey, magnetic survey over the Nine Mile area. We look forward to releasing those results next week. We are completely astounded by this new technology and what it can bring us. These drones now are low cost and they can go down almost 800 meters to a kilometer. We filtered that drone to the frequency of massive sulfides and we think we've correlated and filtered out a lot of the noise and the magnetic signatures.
We've also taken our core samples from our drilling, had that property analysis done by EarthEX in Manitoba and came back and have phenomenal results. We may be one of the first VMS deposit exploration programs to use both traditional EM signatures, but also IP signatures to find the source deposit in multiple broken lenses. Why that's so important is our copper and gold is so high grade in our lens that we have, that the chargeability signature is off the chart. Usually NVMS chargeability is very low and huge conductivity signature because of the lead, the zinc, and the silver, and that's how you find it, but we have both. We actually launched yesterday, the IP and EM surface grids and orientation grids right over the lens area and within six kilometers.
That’s going on concurrently with everything else we're doing, and it's just, unfortunately not all the data comes back in chronological order, Gerardo. It's like everything's coming back in different times than when we submitted it and trying to put it into our living 3D exploration model that's hard to correlate and communicate to the market, is that we just don't do one survey, publish results, wait a month, do another survey, publish results. You know what I mean? We're doing things concurrently and multitasking in a word because we are launching our stage two, very exciting, 5,000 meter drill program next month. We're starting in a couple days, October.
Concurrently, we announced we're doing an up to 2,000 meter drill program on our second VMS project, which is California Lake. We have high expectations for that. We look forward, we're going to have lots of news for everyone going forward for probably about four months.
Gerardo Del Real: Just to be clear, you anticipate drilling to start at the flagship, the Nine Mile Brook VMS project by the end of October, correct?
Patrick Cruickshank: Yes, both programs actually. We have two rigs coming from Lantech Head Drilling down in Moncton, New Brunswick, and we will have them go concurrently. The California Lake project is a smaller program, so we'll have the two rigs going separately at the beginning. Then once the California Lake one wraps up, because it's shorter, 2000 meters, it will join Nine Mile, and we will have two rigs going at Nine Mile for the duration of the 5,000 meters. We're flexible. That can be long depending on the success and so on, but we are very excited. We have two massive new targets at Nine Mile, source targets that we believe are the source for this lens. We think we have the path, technical and geophysical folds that delivered the lens to where it's resting today.
Gerardo Del Real: You've had phenomenal success using this new technology to vector in to, and I know what the prize is, I know that you're chasing those feeder sources, but you've had incredible luck using this technology to vector into these targets. I can't wait to see the results when they are published and I'm really looking forward to having you back on when those are made public. Patrick, anything else to add to that? It sounds like an exciting October, November, December to close out the year for Nine Mile.
Patrick Cruickshank: Yeah, we love being busy, I'm not going to lie. We love being active and we believe in our project and I can't wait to share some of these high definition images that we have. We're just clearing them through legals right now and sign off from EarthEX and we will have them out next week. I can't wait to share the new targets that no one has seen for the Nine Mile lens.
We have also gone to Jim Walker, who's PhD with the New Brunswick Department of Energy and Mines, the structural geologists expert of the Baptist Mining Camp, and we have consulted all of our technical advisory team and we are all aligned on how excited we are with these geophysical results that we have from these surveys. I just can't wait to share it and show it to our shareholders and to our followers and it just makes geological sense and geophysical sense and it'll really showcase what this new technology can do, and it is a game changer for our sector.
Gerardo Del Real: Patrick, exciting times. Thank you so much for that thorough update. Let's chat next week.
Patrick Cruickshank: Thank you, sir. Have a good day, Gerardo.
Gerardo Del Real: You as well.
